The smile fades as the reality sets in
There’s a lost hope that’s been found within
Uneasy and restless as I silently search around
While I find nothing to drown out the sound
All I hear are questions without answers
And I see all these distracting little dancers
I’m scared because I’ve never seen this before
Terrified by all the life that’s in store
I talk it out and think it through
Hopefully to find myself perfectly in view
There’s a great hope that’s been found within
The smile that resides as the reality sets in.
