Editorial Policy
The computer’s ability to uncover what the human cannot has dramatically changed the views of math and science. Technology does not change the arts. It merely gives them a new place to prosper. Stories are always the same whether written or typed. Art gives the same impression whether on paper or on the computer screen. However, the Internet does give a new path with which to show these work to the world.
Impressions has the same principle online as any printed magazine: excellence. We believe in the ideal that excellence should be recognized and rewarded. We will always strive to find the art that makes you stop and stare; to discover the literature that truly delves into the human experience; to spot the photographs that transform the ordinary into extraordinary. We believe that excellence is more than grammar and outlines. It is expanding the ideas of the world through the touch of a creative mind.
Our editors trust that the writers and artists are submitting their own work, and not something stolen elsewhere and simply spat back out at us. They believe in the originality and creativity of the submissions they receive.
